Infection Prevention and Control Conference

14th January 2021 - Manchester

In recent times infection prevention has never been more prevalent. The prevention of infectious diseases and healthcare associated infections (HAIs) is an integral component of good medical practice. A key challenge for healthcare professional is antibiotic resistance which is accelerated by the misuse and overuse of antibiotics, as well as poor infection prevention and control. Without urgent action, we are heading for a post-antibiotic era, in which common infections and minor injuries can once again kill.

Salford Professional Development are delighted to be gaining a reputation for “truly inspirational” health and social care conferences. The seventh annual Infection Prevention Control Conference will explore what progress is required to deliver the “Long Term Plan” targets in Infection Prevention and Control. The conference will also explore the progress made again the UK’s 5-year action plan for antimicrobial resistance (2019 -2024) and will share examples of system wide improvements in sepsis outcomes, reducing healthcare-associated infections and antimicrobial stewardship.

This is an exciting, educational and practice-enhancing conference. To avoid disappointment, register your attendance today and hear strategies on how organisation cope with controlling and reducing the spread of dangerous infections.
